Whether your patients are just entering the maze of treatment options, or have been on the trek for some time, CTS Dallas provides a plan of prioritized goals and treatment strategies to light their way to the next step. The strategies we teach offer hope for a fulfilling and productive future.
There is no “magic bullet” to address linguistic processing issues and no single approach will correct every problem area. Consequently, these problems cannot be corrected overnight. After gathering the diagnostic and informational pieces, CTS develops an individualized approach to best serve each person. And, the integrity of the family as a whole.
Our training classes and mentoring options develop your knowledge base with hands-on skill development in challenging areas with practical strategies.
Treatment roadmaps are multi-step plans that address foundational areas of highest priority in order to create the most effective and efficient plan of action.
Continuing supervision is available throughout the treatment journey in order to pursue the highest potential possible for those with processing issues.
In the past 15 years, there has been a marked increase in the number of children and adults who deal with processing issues.
A plethora of modalities has emerged to address the various needs of individuals with processing disorders. It is easy for families to become overwhelmed. They need support from professionals who are trained in cross-disciplinary treatments and strategies. Who are out-of-the-box thinkers who treat each person like the unique individual he or she is?
As the clinical director and owner of CTS Dallas, Jane Shook M.S., CCC, SLP has developed a therapeutic model that addresses a variety of communication conditions, sensory processing, and executive function issues.
Over her 40-year career, Jane has developed a myriad of unique cross-disciplinary modalities that include elements gleaned from traditional speech therapy as well as other disciplines. Our strategies may include elements learned from cross-training to create postural support, achieve improved calm, focused attention and generalization of communication with movement activities. We collaborate closely with like-minded practitioners in occupational therapy, functional neurology, kinesiology, psychology, biomedical treatment, holistic dentistry, and developmental optometry.
She has helped countless numbers of children and adults with auditory and sensory processing, autism spectrum, developmental delays, verbal apraxia, learning disabilities, and feeding disorders.
